Popular Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari on the way he handled sensitive issues in his Presidential speech delivered on Monday. The comedian who made his position known on his Instagram page accused the President of being sentimental in way he handled agitations for secession by youths from the South East and the North. He claimed that while the President was quick to described members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as irresponsible, he was silent on the quit notice issued by Arewa Youths.

The co-convener of the "Resume or Resign" protest tagged "Our Mumu Don Do", Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy has called out 2Face for refusing to join the protest. The protest was aimed at ensuring the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari or his immediate return from London where he receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
