Renowned songwriter, singer and recording artist, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known by his stage name, Wizkid has reportedly pocketed over N72 Million from the streaming of his hit single "come Closer" on Spotify video platform. Famous ace video director, Adasa Cookey made this known on Saturday via a post on his Instagram page. He disclosed that the hit single which also featured United States artist, Drake has been streamed over 55 million times on Spotify platform.

Former England football star, John Fashanu was locked up in a Nigerian jail crammed with 200 other prisoners. The former Wimbledon player was arrested by the Police at his home in Sun City Estate, Abuja, on “criminal conspiracy” and obtaining through false pretence. Nigerian police Deputy Inspector General Hyacinth Dagala said: “John Fashanu was arrested on July 17 in connection with an allegation of criminal conspiracy and obtaining the sum of £23,000 (N9,550,000) under false pretence.

John Heard

John Heard, known for his memorable roles in the "Home Alone" movies and "The Sopranos," died on Friday, the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office confirmed to ABC News. Heard was 71, the medical examiner said.

2017 MTV Video Music Award

MTV announced the nominations for the 2017 Video Music Awards on Tuesday via Instagram. A scrutiny of the list of nominees conducted by vigil 360 indicates that rapper Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with the most nominations for his video "Humble."

Patoranking - 'Hale Hale'

 In an obvious affront to the much criticised comments by Information Minister, Lai Mohammed that Nigerians music artistes may be banned from producing videos outside the country, Patoranking has dropped the visuals to his 'Hale Hale' sound which he claimed was shot "somewhere in Togo."
