The National Economic Council (NEC) has set to review the status of the ownership structure of the power distribution company (DISCOs) of Nigeria.
The resolution was adopted today Thursday during the meeting of the council which was chaired by Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice president.
Accordingly, the review will be handled by an ad hoc committee to be headed by Mallam Nasiru El-Rufa’i, the Governor of Kaduna state.
Meanwhile, the six governors who represent the various geo-political zones in the Niger Delta Power Holding Company will serve as the reviewing committee.
Mr. Emeka Ehedioha, the governor of Imo state while speaking on the resolution of NEC revealed the National Council on Privatization and Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) would form part of the committee.
