President Buhari Swears In Sambo As Minister, Assigns Portfolio

President Muhammadu Buhari swore in Malam Muazu Sambo as the newly appointed Minister of State for Works and Housing. Before his appointment, Sambo was Area Manager, Lagos Zone of the Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority. The swearing-in ceremony was held briefly before the start of the meeting of the National Security Council in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.


Dignitaries in attendance include Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; the Ministers of Justice, Police Affairs, Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs.

Others are the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba; Director-General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi and the Director-General of National Intelligence Agency, Abubakar Rufa’i.
