Emerging reports suggest that Chelsea Coach and the current EPL Coach of the Year is set to be offered a new contract that will make him the highest paid manager in Chelsea's history.
According to Sky News, Conte who still has two years remaining in his contract is expected to sign a new deal believed to be between £9.5m and £10m a year. The report may now put to rest speculations that Conte and Chelsea Board are at loggerhead over the poor handling of Diego Costa as well as the reluctance to invest in the transfer window.
Conte was reportedly queried over making public his decision to freeze out Diego Costa next season by sending a text message to him. The Board held that his action will now coast the club millions of Pounds as the value of the player may be forced down by prospective clubs.
Conte is also believed to be angered by the perceive reluctance to take urgent steps in signing key players that will assist him successfully prosecute matches next season where he’ll be fighting on four fronts, EPL, Champions League, Emirates FA Cup and the League Cup.
