Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola is said to have sanctioned a £150million move for Chelsea playmaker, Eden Hazard, after the club missed out of securing the services of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal. City had refused to meet Sanchez's wage demand believed to be in the region of £400,000-a-week, making him the highest earner in the history of the English Premier League.
According to Sky sources Pep Guardiola has identified Hazard as his No.1 summer transfer target. Hazard has reportedly refused to extend his contract at Stanford Bridge with his father disclosing that the player was doing so to make himself available for possible switch to La Liga giant, Real Madrid.
Real Madrid Coach, Zinedine Zidane has been a long admirer of the player, as the club seek a replacement for ageing Christiano Ronaldo, whose nose-diving performance has affected the club significantly this term.
But with Real Madrid being reluctant to make an offer, Manchester City might exploit the prevailing situation at Stanford Bridge to land the playmaker.
The Belgium international has two years remaining in his contract and pundits are not ruling out his exit before the expiration of his contract.
