The blue side of Manchester, Manchester City FC, has signed Nigerian International, Olarenwaju Kayode from Austria Vienna on a four-year deal and sends him on a season-long loan to Spanish side Girona. Olarenwaju was top scorer in Austria's top flight last season with 17 goals in 33 games.

The striker had his medical last week and has been loaned out to Spanish side Girona FC where four other City players are to spend the 2017-18 season.

 

Newcastle FC were interested in the 24-year-old forward before signing for the Premier league club.  Four other City players are to spend the 2017-18 season at newly-promoted La Liga side Girona.

 

Kayode, began his career with Red Bull Ghana and also played for ASEC Mimosas in Ivory Coast, FC Luzern in Switzerland and Maccabi Netanya in Isreal.

 

He made his debut for Nigeria in a friendly against Senegal in March and has three caps for the country.
