Having missed out on signing a deal with Romelu Lukaku, Sky Sports has reported that the Argentine International and Manchester City prolific striker, Sergio Aguero has emerged as the new favorite to be signed by Chelsea to replace outgoing Diego Costa.
Chelsea's sluggish display in the transfer market saw Manchester United hijack their favorite target, Romelu Lukaku. Although the club was rumored to be interested in Real Madrid out-of-favour striker Alvaro Morata, Torino Striker, Andrea Belotti and Borussia Dortmund point man, Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang.
Sky Sports claim that Aguero has emerged as a perfect replacement for Costa as Chelsea prepares to defend the league title and compete for European title.
Meanwhile, Manchester City Chairman, Al Mubarak claims that Aguero was happy at the club and will not be allowed to leave. The forward has three years remaining in his current contract.
