Nigeria’s senior male basketball team, D’Tigers, was defeated by Tunisia 77-65 in the final of the African Basket Ball Championship on Saturday.

Nigeria won the first quarter 14-8, but lost the second quarter as Tunisia took a 25-24 lead into the break.

The Tunisians won the third quarter 52-40, making it very difficult for D’Tigers to get back into the game.

Tunisia wrapped up victory 77-65 in the last quarter, to be crowned the new African champions.
