Nigerian singer, songwriter and performer, popularly known as Adekunle Gold may be considering dumping music for football. The talented artist who posted pictures of himself jogging football on Instagram captioned them "Neymar Wasn't Around". The caption suggested that he was ready for the big money transfer given his proficiency in the sport.
His pictures and caption were prompted by the recent world record deal involving Neymar who moved from Barcelona to PSG for a fee reported to be in the region of over £200 million. Apart from the signing fee, the Brazilian will pocket a whopping £550, 000 per week.
Several artists including Falz and Timi Dakolo have all indicated interest in redirecting the careers of their children to football given the huge sum of money involved.
Falz in a sort video posted on his social media handles had said we have many lawyers in our family. If they want to become artists, what music have people not made or sang? If people said I should allow them make their choice, they should choose between Manchester United, PSG, Barcelona and so on.
