The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday presided over the Federal Executive Council meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The development came after President Muhammadu Buhari embarked on a one-day official visit to Yobe state in continuation of his tour of troubled states in the country.


The President had departed the Federal Capital Territory about 9:10am and arrived Maiduguri around 11:10am where arrangements were being made for him to go to Yobe.


The President who had since arrived Yobe, held a crucial meeting with elders and other stakeholders in the state.


He assured them of his administration's commitment to rescuing the abducted Dapchi schoolgirls alive stressing that heads of security agencies have also been directed to prevent further attacks.
