Former president General Abdulsalam Abubakar, has met with President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The meeting which held on Tuesday lasted for about 25 minutes.
The former president, however, did not say why he was at the villa or what he discussed with President Buhari.
Their meeting comes on the heels of the heat generated by the criticisms by two former Nigerian leaders, Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Babangida, against President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Buhari had just before the meeting with Abuabakar, received letters of Credence from the Ambassador of Niger to Nigeria, Mr Alat Mogaskia; the High Commissioner of Ghana, Alhaji Rashid Bawa and that of Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy Sea to Nigeria, Most Rev. Archbishop Antonio
Guido Filipazzi.
