The Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode on Monday presented the 2018 appropriation Bill tagged "Budget of Progress and Development" to the Lagos state House of Assembly. The budget which is projected to be around One Trillion, Forty-six Billion, One Hundred and Twenty-one Million, One Hundred and Eighty-one Thousand, Six Hundred and Eighty naira (N1,046,121) would consolidate ongoing development projects in the state as well as ensure the establishment of new capital projects.
Breakdown of the budget indicates that the 2018 appropriation has a recurrent expenditure of about N347bn while the capital expenditure stands at N699bn.
The members of the House of Assembly have assured the governor of speedy consideration and passage of the bill.
