57% of Nigerians approve of the way President Muhammadu Buhari has managed affairs of the country in the last 2 years, according to a report by the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD).
The report was released Monday, on Democracy Day.
A report by the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) has revealed that 57% of Nigerians approve of the way President Muhammadu Buhari has ran the country in the last 2 years.
The report titled "Buharimeter Citizens’ Scorecard," which was published on the group's website on Monday, is the outcome of a national survey involving face-to-face interview of 4,097 persons in 111 LGAs across the country.
Despite the fairly high rating, the report however revealed "clear regional differences observed in the President’s approval rating."
"While the North-West (85 per cent) and North-East (66 per cent) regions constitute the majority of those who approve of his job performance, respondents from the South-East (72 per cent) and South-South (60 per cent) regions make up those who do not approve his performance," the report noted.
In another good rating for the APC administration, the survey said "about 55 per cent of Nigerians believe the Government is doing enough to ensure that the Chibok girls are rescued and reunited with their families, particularly amongst respondents in the North-West region (73 per cent). On the contrary, 35 per cent do not believe government is doing enough."
