The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has revealed that only through zoning would decide Atiku Abubakar, the former vice President's faith ahead of the 2023 General election.

Atiku was in the race for the Presidential seat in the 2015 General election and lost it to President Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC), same repeated itself in the 2019 general election.

Accordingly, Adamu Atiku, the son to the former vice president, who is also the commissioner for Works and Energy in Adamawa state, while presenting the scorecard in Yola yesterday stated, “in 2023, my father will be aspiring to the number one office in the land because he has been an astute, strategic, master politician for  almost four decades.”

However, while addressing newsmen during a conference in Abuja yesterday, Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP National Publicity secretary disclosed that the PDP is yet to come up with its zoning formula.

saying “I want to leave it at that.”

Similarly, the main opposition party said that the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and other aggrieved members of the APC can feel free to join their party ahead of its September 19, 2020, gubernatorial election.

Meanwhile, Ologbondiyan debunked rumors in some quarters that the PDP gave Obaseki stringent conditions before he could be accepted into the fold of the PDP which asking for a huge amount of money was part of it.
