Buhari Receives Rewane’s Panel Report On Minimum Wage

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, 25th March 2019 received the report of the technical advisory committee on the implementation of the new national minimum wage at the presidential villa.

 

The chairman of the committee, Bismarck Rewane, an economist and Managing Director of the Financial Derivatives Company made the presentation on behalf of a 24 man panel. In attendance at the presentation was, the vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Ministers of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, and Senator Udo Udoma as well as the governor of the central bank of Nigeria.

Speaking during the presentation, President Buhari thanked the committee for their hard work and patriotism. He affirmed that the presidency will review the report expeditiously and transmit same to the National Assembly.  

It would be recalled that president Buhari had on January 9th, 2019 constituted the panel.
