All Progressives Congress Governors who met behind closed-door with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday at the State House have refused to speak on the outcome of their meeting which was reported to be stormy and inconclusive. The meeting which started around 2:15pm ended about 3:50pm.

At the end of the meeting, the governors who were approached for comment told State House correspondents that they had resolved not to speak to journalists. Those who were approached included the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Rochas Okorocha; Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong; and Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

It was gathered that the issue of tenure elongation of the current National Working Committee of the party dominated discussion with the Governors divided along different interests.

The meeting ended in a deadlock and no date was unanimously agreed for another round of meeting.

Apart from all the APC state governors, the Vice President and other top Presidential Aides were in attendance.
