A Federal Government delegation comprising the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazau (retd.) has arrived Damaturu, Yobe State, Punch reports. According to the report, the delegation will hold meetings with the state government officials, principal of the Government Science and Technical Girls College in Dapchi where 105 girls were said to have been adopted by members of Boko Haram last week.
Recall that members of Boko Haram sect had last week abducted some schoolgirls from Dapchi. Although an earlier report claimed that the girls were rescued by the military, the Yobe state government retracted the statement, noting that none of the abducted girls had been rescued.
The state government on Sunday released the names of the girls.
