The Former Minister of Health and Executive Director of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Babatunde Osotimehin is dead. The incident was announced this morning at the Nigerian Office, United Nations, New York.
Before his appointment as Minister of Health, Osotimehin served as the Director-General of National Agency for the Control of Aids (NACA) and the Project Manager of World Bank Assisted HIV/AIDS Programme Development Project. Osotimehin was born in 1949 in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State.
He attended the Igbobi College in Lagos before relocating to the United Kingdom where he had his university education. He died at the age of 68.
