Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode had hailed President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabinet members for snubbing the World Economic Forum (WEF) holding in South Africa.
The Federal government declined attendance in protest against the xenophobic attack directed on Nigerian living in South Africa.
The WEF which was kick started on Wednesday, had no Nigerian delegation on official capacity in attendance. Other African countries shares in Nigerian grieve through boycotting the forum as well.
Identified amongst the African countries who boycotted the forum were; DR Congo, Malawi, and Rwanda.
Accordingly, Nigerian officials are exploiting all avenues at its disposals including sanctions, withdrawal of High Commissioner against the South African government.
Reacting on Thursday, Fani-Kayode tweeted: “I commend the FG and @MBuhari for boycotting the World Economic Forum.
“When it comes to the South African matter we must set our differences aside and stand as one.
Fani-Kayode continued, “The FG has taken a good first step but must do far more. South Africa must pay dearly for her insolence and barbarity!”
