Following the Saturday Area Council election in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command has relaxed the earlier announced restriction of movement in Abuja that was expected to commence from 12 am to 4 pm on 12th February 2022 to ensure the safety of lives and properties during the election.
Nonetheless, a counter-statement issued on Friday by the Command Spokesperson, Josephine Adeh revealed the curfew has been relaxed to reduce the fear of residents being harassed or molested during the exercise.
“Members of the public are hereby advised to go about their normal legitimate business without the fear of harassment or molestation of any kind from any quarters”, the PPRO added.
FCT Police boss assured members of the public and residents of the FCT of the provision of watertight security before, during, and after the election, urging members of the public to come out in their numbers to vote for candidates of their choice.
