President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday said his government is determined to stamp-out bandits and terrorist that has continued to give Nigerians a sleepless night. Mr Buhari gave the assurance yesterday in a condolence message delivered on his behalf by his chief of staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, who leads the Federal Government delegation to Kastina state to commensurate with the Government and the people of the state over the unfortunate incidence that recently befalls them from the attack of bandits.

 

The Governor of the state, Aminu Belo Masari while addressing the gathering said the latest incident has cost the state seven months of a peace initiative that was entered into by the state through the rigorous initiative. Meanwhile, he suggested the only remedy to all kind of vices that has befallen Nigeria at present was to educate all and sundry, saying it would continue to be his government priority. In his remarks, HRH Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, the Emir of Kastina expressed sadness over the incident, however, thanked the presidential delegation for identifying with them at the time of their grief.

The Royal father calls on the security agencies especially the police and the Military to put in more effort in tackling the ugly trend, saying “We must go all out and spare no effort in tackling them. They’re trying to destroy the country, ”The various security agencies present at the gathering presented their individual security reports to the delegation.

The Nigerian Air force reassured the gathering that its office will deploy its Helicopter with night vision capability to support the ground troop during the operation.
