Barely one week after Boko Haram released three University of Maiduguri lecturers earlier abducted during an oil exploration exercise in the state, a suicide bomber on Monday evening struck close to one of the hotels in the University. According to the Cable, the attack took place around 7:50pm.

Some suspected herdsmen on Thursday butchered a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police, identified as Daniel Malu in Jos, Plateau state. Malu, 58, whose last office was ‘A’ Division in Jos, was killed in his Dorowa residence, in the Jos South Local Government Area of the state.

No fewer than 22 persons were killed and 28 others injured in a multiple suicide bomb attack at a market in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the incident occurred on Friday at about 9:00 PM, when three suicide bombers detonated explosives at the “Kasuwar Kifi” in the outskirts of Konduga town.

Emerging reports suggest the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, will on March 16 arraign the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Danladi Umar before an Abuja High Court on charges of allegedly demanding and receiving money from a defendant standing trial before the CCT in 2012.
