Iran has tested new ballistic missile that is reportedly capable of carrying multiple warheads. The test occurred few hours after the missile was unveiled at a military parade. Press TV had reported on Friday that Iran unveiled a ballistic missile at a military parade held in Tehran and successfully tested it.

The missile which is regarded as the Khorramshahr missile has a range of 1, 250 miles and has the capacity to carry multiple warheads. "The Khorramshahr missile has become smaller in size and more tactical and it will be operational in the near future," according to Press Tv.

Iran's president, Hassan Rouhani who spoke during the military parade stated that Iran would continue to strengthen its military capability. "We will promote our defensive and military power as much as we deem necessary. We seek no one's permission to defend our land."
He added that "Whether you like it or not we are going to help Syria, Yemen and Palestine, and we will strengthen our missiles."

The test is coming after the United States President, Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned Iran nuclear deal at the 72 session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Trump who confirmed the test of the ballistic missile tweeted on Saturday "Iran just test-fired a Ballistic Missile capable of reaching Israel. They are also working with North Korea. Not much of an agreement we have!"
