A helicopter carrying one high Prince and some senior Saudi Arabia officials has crashed near the Kingdom's border with Yemen. On Sunday evening, Prince Mansour bin Muqrin Al Saud who also doubles as the deputy governor of Asir Province was on tour of local projects around the City of Abha when the incident occurred.


In a statement issued on Monday, the Kingdom's Interior Ministry stated that wreckage of the crashed helicopter had been found and that investigations into the incident were ongoing toward revealing the circumstances surrounding the crash.


Prince Mansour bin Muqrin is the son of former Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz. He was appointed the deputy governor of the province in the first quarter of 2017. Apart from the Prince, seven other officials were confirmed dead.
