Nigeria Music icon, Innocent Idibia popularly known in the entertainment industry as Tubaba on Wednesday paid a surprising visit to the Benue State Governor, Mr. Samuel Ortom over the recent killings in the state. Tubaba who is also an indigene of the state had canvassed for an end to the senseless killings by suspected Fulani herdsmen using his social media platforms and social events.


Although he spoke with the Governor and his cabinet members behind closed doors, an insider disclosed to Vigil360 that the popular singer advised the Governor to mobilize support for effective implimentation of the anti-open grazing law, stressing that the state should not be intimidated into abandoning the law. He also assured the Governor of his support.


He also told the Governor that his efforts so far has been widely acknowledged and commended across the country and urged him not to relent in his efforts toward ensuring the safety of the people in the state.


The source said the Governor explained the measures he had taken so far including the meeting with President Muhammadu Buhar. He said the state government was watching keenly to see the efforts of the Federal Government in addressing the situation, more so that the Inspector General of Police has been ordered to relocate to the state and stop the menace of the herdsmen. He appelaed to people of the state to desist from taking laws into their hands.
