Everton have confirmed the signing of England forward Theo Walcott from Arsenal.

Walcott, 28, signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Everton, the club announced on their official website on Wednesday.

The deal is believed to have cost around £20m.

“I’ve come to Everton because I want the club to push to the next level,” Walcott told the website.

Walcott joined Arsenal from Southampton in 2006 as a 16-year-old and won the FA Cup three times, 108 goals in 396 appearances.

Only Dennis Bergkamp (277) and Patrick Vieira (276) made more Premier League appearances for Arsenal under Arsene Wenger than Walcott.
