Chelsea Football Club are set to snatch Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United after the club reportedly sealed a £75m deal to allow the prolific striker move to Old Trafford. The Independent reported on Friday that Chelsea could make a bumper bid to land the Belgium star since he remains Antonio Conte's top summer target.

Conte is desperate to sign a new striker after firing Diego Coast via a text message. With Costa set to leave Stanford Bridge, the Blues may be left with Batshuayi, a player the coach has little or no confidence in.

According to the report, "United are yet to make a bid for Lukaku. So the Blues could respond to the Red Devils agreeing a fee with a mammoth offer of their own in hope of securing Lukaku".

Unconfirmed report indicates that Lukaku could earn around £200, 000 a week at Old Trafford. A move to Chelsea could however compel Chelsea to submit a world-record bid to land the striker who honed his striking skills while playing for Chelsea.
