The Argentina Football Association will pocket three million dollars (equivalent of N1.1 billion) for agreeing to face Israel in their final pre-World Cup friendly, if it agrees to conditions outlined by the game’s sponsor.

According to Sport Express Russia, the conditions of the friendly match of the Argentina national team in Israel, which will be held on June 9, will see the Argentina Football Association receive US$3 million on the proviso that Barcelona number ten Lionel Messi will spend at least sixty minutes on the pitch.

Therefore, AFA will be paid $50,000 (around N18 million) for every minute their captain is on the pitch when they visit Israel.

Meanwhile, manager Jorge Sampaoli announced his roster for the friendly games against Italy and Spain on Thursday, March 1, six days before Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr releases his roster for the Pre-World Cup friendlies against Poland and Serbia.

Lionel Messi was excused from Argentina's 4-2 loss to Nigeria in a friendly last November.
