President Muhammadu Buhari has applauded Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Friday’s impressive 4-0 win over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

World Cup Qualifier: Nigeria Mauls Cameroon 4-0

The reigning African champions were cut to ribbons by Gernot Rohr’s men in Uyo on Friday, with the Super Eagles one leg in Russia. Nigeria put up a commanding attacking masterclass to dismantle Cameroon in a highly convincing 4-0 World Cup qualifying victory at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

Chelsea’s up and coming defender, Ola Aina is expecting to receive FIFA’s clearance right on time today, to enable him to tar for the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifier on Friday. Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr invited Aina who has been loaned out by Chelsea to beef up his options in the back line. Rohr said that steps to secure clearance for Aina are almost completed, as almost all papers needed have been submitted.

Wayne Rooney Charged With Drink-Driving

Everton striker Wayne Rooney has been charged with drink-driving, Cheshire Police have said. Rooney was arrested shortly after 02:00 BST (2pm Nigeria), after officers stopped a black VW Beetle on Altrincham Road, Wilmslow.

Liverpool Football Club has officially announced the signing of Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal.  The club which made the confirmation on Thursday said "the England international penned a long-term contract with the Reds after a medical was conducted at St George’s Park, where the 24-year-old is currently on duty with his country."

Dalung Promises To Deliver 2018 World Cup Ticket

Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, says the Super Eagles will deliver the 2018 World Cup ticket to Nigerians. Dalung told newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja that the team was well prepared for the world cup qualifier against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon coming up on Friday in Uyo.
