Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane on Tuesday held a lengthy discussion with his flopping side ahead of Wednesday Copa del Rey clash with Numancia. Madrid currently sit 16 points behind arch rival, Barcelona on the La Liga table. Zidane who later told reporters during press conference, that the lengthy discussion was to encourage the team to work harder than ever in every sense in order to surmount the present poor form.

"When things don't work out as we hope, we have work to do. I think the players are thinking the same thing. We are going to work harder than ever, in every sense. It's not a physical or mental thing, just a bit of everything."

"If I call the players for a chat, it's because I want to gain something from it. I'm not going to tell you what we talked about, but these are talks that can happen with any team. You can analyse whatever way you like and say that we are going through a time of crisis.

"But what we want to do is find solutions, talk about it and try to do things better. We talked a little longer than usual, but it was nothing irregular."
