The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Monday received another batch of one hundred and sixty-seven (167) returnees from Libya at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. The Director-General of NEMA, Alhaji Mustapha Maihajja, who received the returnees in conjunction with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the European Union (EU) the addition, brings the total number of Nigerians brought back from Libya in the last four days to 532.
Breakdown of the returnees who arrived Lagos in Boeing 737-800 aircraft with Registration number 5A-DMH indicates one child, 24 adult females and 145 Males.
Speaking to the returnees, the Maihajja who was represented by the Southwest Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Alhaji Suleiman Yakubu advised them to acquire vocational skills or further their education to make their future meaningful.
Apart from NEMA, EU AND IOM, THE Nigerian Police, Immigration Services, and airport officials were on ground to receive them.
