The Presidency has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari usually briefs his personal aides immediately their appointments are announced. The Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmaad disclosed this on his tweeter handle @BashirAhmaad. He said the brief from the president is to enable the aide to perform his duty judiciously.

He disclosed that when Femi Adeshina was appointed the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, the President told him to always be sincere in his routine briefs after acknowledging that some officials around him could feed him with fake news. His tweet read
"People will just tell you what they think you want to hear. But from you, I want the truth. As a General, I may argue, but please argue with me. Tell me the truth always. – President @MBuhari to @FemAdesina on the day he resumed work as his Media adviser."

The Presidential aide however failed to state whether Femi is currently following through his briefs.
