The PDP has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to declare Governor Nyesom Wike as the rightful winner of the Rivers State Governorship election without further delay to “save the nation a serious crisis”.
The party in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan also cautioned the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami (SAN), over an alleged plot to scuttle the collation of results of the poll.
It called on INEC to speedily conclude the collation process as well as respect the will of the people of Rivers State as expressed at the governorship poll on March 9. It added that anything short of this could plunge the state into an avoidable crisis.
