Social Media critic and activist, Deji Adeyanju have claimed that no one with great ideas makes it to win an election in the African continent. According to him, only candidates with political structure make it to the top in winning elections. Some analysts were of the opinion that Adeyanju was taunting the Presidential candidate of the Labour party, LP, Peter Obi with such a claim. The activist in the last few weeks has been keen on criticizing Peter Obi and his followers called ‘Obidients’ on social media space, especially on his tweeter page.
Adeyanju in one of his posts accused Obi and his followers of moving about from church to church instead of building a formidable structure that will lead them to victory in the 2023 general election.
Earlier today, Adeyanju posted, “WhatsApp group admin and 500 man march (a.k.a 1-million man march) is not structure.”.
He advised Obidients that instead of collecting hand-outs from a meeting at Washington in the US, they should have instead spent two weeks building a structure in the 21 Local Government areas of Kogi state.
On his Facebook page, Adeyanju said, “Big ideas don’t win elections in Africa, structures do. 100 days after party primaries, a serious new party should have built structures in over 90 LGAs by now out of the 774, but they are not interested in anything serious but just noise making in the name of 1-million man march.”
