A really busy Monday continued for President Muhammadu Buhari who is hosting his recently inauguarted Liberarian counterpart, George Weah.

Both Presidents are currently in a closed-door meeting, according to reports by Channels Television.

Buhari is already scheduled to travel to Accra Monday, ahead of the country’s 61st Independence Anniversary.

Before the Ghana trip, the president is expected to visit Taraba according to a a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.

Former international football star George Weah, was sworn in as Liberia’s new president on January 22, in the country’s first transition between democratically-elected leaders since 1944.

Weah, 51, took over from Nobel laureate Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who spent 12 years at the helm, steering the West African nation away from the trauma of a civil war.
