Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai says the Peoples Democratic Party is not a threat to the ruling party in next year’s general elections. Mallam El-Rufai said this while delivering the first Public lecture of Al-hikmah University titled ” Governing justly: Perspectives from near and far with lessons for Nigeria”, held at the University’s auditorium.

The Governor noted that the oppositions are within the ruling All Progressives Congress, saying that there are disgruntled elements and rascals that believed in politics of rascality in the party.

Governor El-Rufai underscored the need for the Reconciliation Committee headed by the National Chieftain of the Party and Former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to reconcile aggrieved members of the party.

He re-emphasized the commitment of the APC-led Federal Government to address all the challenges bedevilling the country, especially in the area of security.

Governor El-Rufai sought the support of Nigerians to the programmes of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in delivering dividends of democracy across all the states of the federation.
