The President, Muhammadu Buhari has directed the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party across the country preparatory for the 2019 general elections. The President gave the directive on Tuesday in a statement issued to newsmen by Senior Special Assistant on media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.


The statement reads in part;


“As part of ongoing efforts to improve cohesion within the All Progressives Congress, President Muhammadu Buhari has designated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead the consultation, reconciliation and confidence building efforts. The assignment will involve resolving disagreements among party members, party leadership and political office holders in some states of the Federation.”


States believed to be having serious disagreement include Kano, Oyo, Rivers, Kaduna, Osun and Kogi among others.
