The wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently in London for a follow-up medical attention is recovering fast, contrary to widespread speculation.
Aisha Buhari made the disclosure on Saturday in Abuja during a presentation at the 23rd Annual Ramadan Lecture of Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria (ADS).
According to the First lady, “My husband is recovering very fast. And very soon, he will return to the country to resume his official duties".
She used the opportunity to thank Nigerians for their prayers and urged them sustain their support for his administration "I thank Nigerians for their prayers for my husband. Please, do not relent in your prayers. The President will be back very soon.”
She added that hopefully the President would “observe this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival at the ADS Mosque in Maitama, Abuja as he had been doing even before getting into office.”
Mrs Buhari travelled to London on May 30 to visit President Buhari who is went there for further medical checks.
