Governor of Borno state, Babagana Umara Zulum has stated that the Boko Haram madness requires a radical political approach to end the madness. The Prof. Governor stated this to newsmen while briefing them shortly after he concluded a meeting with President Buhari at the presidential, Villa in Abuja.
Zulum was at the State House to brief Mr. President on the situation of things as it concerns the security situation in Borno state, saying “Kinetic Measures” alone could not put an end to the madness of the insurgents, but a holistic political approach.
He opined that the government at all levels must see the situation as a common problem with a diverse approach especially as it concerns access to the farmlands of the villagers and to allow them to cultivate their land, governor said.
The workaholic professor reiterated the commitment of his administration not to relent until rural dwellers are settled back in their community; especially their ancestral home and get access to their farmlands to allow them to live their normal life.
