The Presidency has reacted to the recent appointment of Amina Zakari as the head of Collation Center for the 2019 elections by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Amina who until recently was in charge of Welfare and Health Department at the Commission had also served as the Head of Operation where she was accused by opposition parties as compromising elections because of her relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had specifically claimed that Amina is President Buhari's niece and thus not qualified to handle sensitive positions in the Commission. The Pressure had forced the Chairman of the Commission to redeploy Amina from Operations to Welfare Department before her latest appointment.
Reacting to the rejection of her appointment as the Head of Collation Centre by PDP and other groups, the Social Media Aide to President Buhari, Lauretta Onochie said claims that Amina was Buhari's niece were all lies fabricated by the PDP to dent the electoral process.
The Media Aide who took to her Twitter handle on Friday listed some of the lies of the opposition party. Her tweet read
