Acting Chief Justice Of Nigeria Swears-In Buhari, Osinbajo At Eagle Square

The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mohammad Tanko has sworn in President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo into office for the second term.

 

The event which took place at the Eagle Square had in attendance dignitaries including former heads of state, General Yakubu Gowon and Ernest Shonekon. Also present were the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and some state governors.

 

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC also had in attendance the national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, the leader of the party, Bola Tinubu and former chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun.

 

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was invited by the Supreme Court Registrar to be sworn by Justice Tanko at about 10:25 AM. The exercise ended at about 10:34 AM.

 

President Buhari, on the other hand, was invited to take the oath of office at about 10:36 AM. The President was accompanied by his wife, Aisha Buhari.

 

The inauguration officially ushers in the Next Level agenda of the President.
