Following the recent deadly robbery attack on some commercial banks in Offa, Kwara state, the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has ordered the redeployment of the Kwara state Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Lawan Ado with immediate effect. According to Vanguard, Ado had been replaced with Mr. Aminu Pai Saleh as the new police commissioner for the state. The former Commissioner on the other hand has been redeployed to Police College, Kaduna.
Although sources had indicated that the transfer may not be unconnected with the robbery incident, the Force Headquarters claimed that it was a routine exercise and had nothing to do with the incident of incompetence of the Compol.
