47 Boko Haram Killed Several Chibok Girls Rescued

The Spokesman for Defence Headquarters, Maj-Gen Bernard Onyeuko revealed on 16th June 2022 at the bi-weekly briefing that troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have neutralized forty-seven terrorists including the top commander of the Jama'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-jihad, Boko haram faction. More so rescuing Mary Dauda, reportedly one of the abducted Chibok school girls in 2014.

Nigeria Commences Production Of Military, Paramilitary Uniforms

The Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) has disclosed that Nigeria will start local production of military and paramilitary uniforms with effect from January 2023. The uniforms are expected to be produced from the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between Sur Corporate Wear Nigeria Limited and the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON). This was made known on Monday in a statement issued by the Commission’s acting head of media and publicity, Manji Yarling.

Court Sentence Killers Of Fasoranti's Daughter To Death

A High Court sitting in Ondo State has sentenced three out of the four killers of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural leader, Pa Fasoranti's daughter, Mrs. Funke Olahunrin to death by hanging. The killers are; Mohammed Usman, Osagie Lawal, and Adamu Adamu who were arraigned in 2019 by the Ondo state Attorney General. The criminals were charged with four counts of charges by the Attorney bordering on felony to wit Murder, murder, and kidnapping.

Kaduna-Abuja Train Attack: 11 Victims Regain Freedom

The terrorists responsible for the attacked on the Abuja-Kaduna bound AK9 train on March, 28, have released 11 out of the remaining 61 abducted train passengers, after almost three months in captivity. The released victims, who are composed of six females and five males, regained their freedom on Saturday, after an agreement was reached between the abductors and the Federal Government. Following the release indications have emerged that Malam Tukur Mamu, an associate of Sheik Ahmad Gumi, and the Publisher of Desert Herald spearheaded the dialogue that led to the release of the captives by terrorists.

Pope Saddened By Owo Catholic Church Attack

Leader of the Catholic Church worldwide, Pope Francis has reacted to the killing of worshippers attending the Pentecost celebration at a parish in Owo, Ondo State by unknown gunmen. The pope had reacted in a tweet on 6th June 2022 by condoling with the families of the bereaved, more so praying to God for intervention on whosoever was involved in the horrendous act on 5th June 2022.
