Real Madrid football player, David Alaba paid a courtesy visit on Friday to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a diaspora engagement with Nigerians living in France. The 31-year-old also presented his club’s jersey to President Tinubu amidst wide applause from other Nigerians attending the event. Alaba was born in Vienna, Austria to Nigerian parents and played for other football teams such as Bayern Munich.
President Tinubu traveled to Paris, France on Tuesday, his first official trip abroad since he took the oath of office of the President of Nigeria on May 29, 2023.
The President participated along with other world leaders in the Global Financing Summit organized by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
President Tinubu also networked with international organizations and investors with the view of seeking collaboration in sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, among other sectors.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on Saturday, June 24.
