Former world heavyweight boxing Champion Evander Holyfield has touched down in Lagos ahead of his highly publicised boxing bout with Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The 54-year-old retired boxer will fight the Jagaban in the 'Rumble in Lagos' exhibition match on Thursday, 25th of May at the landmark Event center, Oniru, Lagos. The friendly boxing match is part of events lined up to celebrate Lagos @50.
Holyfield was received by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State in Government house, Alausa. Report revealed that Professor Wole Soyinka will be the referee for the match which will be broadcast live on TV.
Part of the proceeds from the fight would be given to not-for-profit organizations and agencies in Lagos.
