Following the release of Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Lanre Gentry from KiriKiri Prison over alleged battery of his wife, the embattled husband of the Nollywood actress has shared his prison experience via Instagram.
He spoke out against the poor conditions the prisoners are subjected to.
“I think this place should be a rehabilitation centre and not a dumping ground, 7 days and 7 night at the medium prison looks like I have spent a whole year in there..y? ..I see no reason why tax are being collected and nothing has been produce and provided through all this payment ,is it that they’ve forgotten this people are still Nigerian citizens?".
Lanre and his wife, Mercy Aigbe have been involved in a messy domestic violence. He was docked before a Magistrate’s Court 1 sitting at Ogba, Ikeja, on a three-count charge under the State Criminal Law, 2011.
