Jermaine Lamarr Cole, better known by his stage name, J Cole is in Nigeria and will be performing this weekend, and in continuing with familiar trend, he also may be shooting a video in the motherland.

The American hip-hop recording artist and record producer is expected to perform alongside several other Nigerian superstars like Wizkid, Davido, Ycee, M.I, Tiwa Savage.

However asides performing, there are speculations that the rapper may also be shooting a video in the country.

Following visuals for 'ATM' and 'Kevin's Heart', J Cole is due to release more videos in the coming weeks and adding scenes from Nigeria sounds ideal especially as it is becoming a trend for international acts who come around for shows on the continent.

Raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cole initially gained recognition as a rapper following the release of his debut mixtape, "The Come Up", in early 2007.

Intent on further pursuing a solo career as a rapper, he went on to release two additional mixtapes after signing to Jay-Z's Roc Nation imprint in 2009.
