Controversial Nigerian journalist and daughter of a former Governor of Oyo state, Kemi Olumloyo said she has abandoned investigative journalism for what she described as opinion journalism. According to her post on Instagram, She explained that she will be doing reports on events based on her own personal opinion. She further explained that due to the fact that she was arrested several times, she no longer practices Investigative journalism.


He post read;

"Today I resume journalism. MY OPINION! No fair, no balance, a form of journalism Nigerians don't like or even know due to illiteracy. Opinion columnists or journalists are rapidly taking over. Celebrities, government officials, politicians, churches, masses, judiciary etc etc. No one is spared from my opinions. I have been arrested three times by Aso Rock and the IGP. I no longer practice investigative journalism on Nigerian soil. I am a stakeholder in this country now. When I reach my goals, pls don't tell me to "remember you". You must speak up in my discussions or suffer forever."


Kemi was recently released from prison and a case instituted against her struck out by Pastor David Ibiyomie. She had accused the pastor of having amorous relationship with Nollywood actresses and buying them expensive gifts including cars.


After her release, she openly confessed at the Pastor's church before giving her life to Christ and sharing her testimony with the congregation. She had since vowed to serve God in the Church.
