American female rapper, Nicki Minaj has announced that she will be retiring from the music scene to focus on starting a family with fiance Kenneth Petty.
The 36-year-old rapper made the announcement via her Twitter account, giving reasons for her decision. Prior to her post, she had hinted marriage in the coming months to her music executive fiance and also changed her name to Mrs. Petty on Twitter.
“I’ve decided to retire & have my family,” the rapper posted.
“I know you guys are happy now,” she continued. “To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, X in the box – cuz ain’t nobody checkin me,”
“Love you for LIFE,” she added.
The news which caught the world by surprise had her fans in a frenzy over her retirement.
She recently released a hit single "Megatron" and featured in Megan Thee Stallion's "Hot Girls Summer". Also has her fifth album is supposedly in the works.
